Project

IRF Learning

Year : 2018
Countries : Somalia, Kenya

This was an interactive process, meeting frequently with programme managers, coordinators and field teams to promote a learning approach to programming through experiential learning, or “learning through reflection on doing”, at field level.
During the Inception phase of the work CHC consulted with the BRCiS (Building Resilient Communities in Somalia), Consortium Management Unit (CMU) and the BRiCs Technical Working Group (TWG).  Members identified three key learning themes of interest which were:
– Provision of safe water to beneficiaries in the emergency of drought response and role of water trucking
– Community accountability mechanisms utilized by partners that promote community engagement in IRF program.
– Targeting of beneficiaries for unconditional cast transfers (UCTs) in the emergency drought response.
