Facilitation of USAID Partnership for Resilience and Economic Growth (PREG) Learning Event

Focused on nine of the most vulnerable and high-risk areas of the 23 counties, PREG works with the Kenyan government both at the National and County level to address underlying community vulnerabilities in the ASAL (Arid and Semi-Arid Lands) region. The partnership linked both humanitarian and development partners to invest in order to increase community resilience for withstanding current and future shocks in the target geographies of Northern Kenya. PREG activities cut across health and nutrition, education, sustainable livelihoods, drought preparedness and response and institutional development. PREG focused on post-emergency transition, bridging the gap between humanitarian aid and development programming to lay the foundation for the long term, sustainable economic growth and asset creation
